CHILI COOK-OFF, April 25, 2009:
Our TX-1 WMA team took 2nd Place in the People's Choice Awards! This is our first time
entering any cook-off contest and needless to say, we are proud of our team and it's "sweet and spicy" chili. We look
forward to this event next year and hope to see all of our members (and non-members) to come and cheer us on! Congratulations
and big thank-you to Kathleen Lorenz-Townsend for finding the recipe, and to Melody Bronson, Anne Kowalski, Maureen Moehle
and Maria Crowley and all the family members who helped with this event. Ooh-Rah!!!
OUR MEMORIAL PROJECT - Thanks to our Past President, Maureen and one of her friends, the VFW Post
7843, Duncanville, donated $1,000 toward our memorial. THANKS! VFW Post 7843! Our second re-print was sold
out and we're thinking of producing a new one!
