PURPOSE OF WMA
- Preserve and promote the history and traditions of women Marines;
- Foster, encourage and perpetuate the spirit of comradeship among women in the U.S. Marine Corps;
- Promote the welfare of elderly, disabled and needy women Marines;
- Provide assistance to hospitalized veterans and members of the Armed Forces;
- Promote the civic and social welfare of the community;
- Sponsor or participate in patriotic activities, particularly those that perpetuate the traditions and esprit de corps
of the U.S. Marine Corps;
- Conduct programs for charitable and educational purposes.

TOYS for TOTS is an annual project for all Marines. Our chapter has helped wrap and distribute toys, and
we're always looking for more members to help at the Warehouse Distribution Center for Toys for Tots. Help with data
entry, answering phones, wrapping toys for the distribution at the Mulky House, or sort the toys at the warehouse. All
are Welcome!

JROTC Program
Each year, TX-1 makes a scholarship donation to our two Dallas area JROTC programs, as well as the Young Marines.
Our members are invited to make presentations to the selected JROTC students who have been selected for their leadership and
academic skills.
FUND-RAISING
We're always looking for opportunities to raise funds to accomplish our projects. This past year, we embarked
on putting together a Cookbook with recipes provided by our members. Several of our members submitted their favorite
recipes and the project was a great success! There's a few left, for $10.00 it's a great price for a great gift!
